How to Have White Clean Shiny Teeth

You focus so much on beauty and maintain your beauty through makeup or makeover. You do all possible efforts to look beautiful and presentable but when you smile and your teeth appear yellow your all efforts become useless. Your smile looks pretty when your teeth are shiny. White teeth add confidence when you are among so many people or gathering. Tooth discoloration is due to so many reasons; some of them are discussed below with their remedies.

Drinks:

Carbonated drinks, coffee, soda all are the reasons of tooth discoloration and tooth decay. Acidity of these drinks is the main reason. As the acidity of the drinks increases the chances of tooth discoloration increases. Too much consumption of citrus juices also has worse effects. The high sugar content on these drinks is another reason of discoloration and tooth decay. The high sugar content causes bacterial fermentation on your teeth. If you want to save your teeth choose sugar free drinks as much as you can.

Dental hygiene:

Another cause of tooth discoloration is dental hygiene which ignores a lot among children. Brushing teeth twice a day can reduce this problem. Brush your teeth after lunch and dinner and before sleeping. At night if you don’t brush your teeth bacteria formed from the food item eaten whole day and which penetrate between your teeth and causes smell in your mouth and discoloration of teeth proceeding to tooth decay.

Smoking:

Smoking reduces the saliva in your mouth which cleanses your mouth and teeth. Nicotine and tar are the major ingredients of cigarette which causes discoloration of teeth or stains on teeth which are then very difficult to remove. Smoking is another leading cause of teeth loss. So quit smoking as soon as possible to prevent from these disorders.

Drugs and medication:

Some of the medications and drugs cause your teeth discoloration. This discoloration is of two types extrinsic or intrinsic. Extrinsic discoloration is when tooth erupted in childhood and can be easily removed by dental treatments. In contrast with extrinsic; intrinsic discoloration they are mostly permanent and difficult to remove and interfere with tooth formation.

Salt water:

Salt water is another cause of tooth discoloration. Whenever you swim in salt water; better to close your mouth so that water will not enter in your mouth and contact with your teeth. Salt water also reduces the saliva in your mouth, making it dry and increases bacterial fermentation.

Toffees, chocolates and sauces:

Toffees and chocolate also contain high sugar content and they stick in your teeth causes tooth decay and discoloration by bacterial fermentation. Thick sauces also have the same effects, darker the color of sauce; darker the stain would be. So better to limit all these things in your diet.

Excess fluoride intake:

Ingestion of excess of fluoride is the leading causes and the major risk factor of tooth discoloration. Excess of fluoride cause white spots leading to black and brown stains in teeth. Fluoride is present mostly in toothpaste so better to be careful while brushing your teeth makes sure that toothpaste is not ingested by you.
